Following the success of our Price Beat Trial Programme, we’re pleased to make our Price Beat Promise an ongoing offer.

Found the same fragrance in a comparable decant size advertised for less by an eligible NZ retail business?

Complete our Price Beat request form or email us the public product link before purchasing. If your request meets the conditions below, we’ll beat the eligible advertised price — even if it’s only 1¢ cheaper.

Products Covered

The Price Beat Promise applies only to individual perfume decants sold by Scent Droplet.

It does not apply to:

  • Full perfume bottles
  • Perfume oils
  • Accessories
  • Complimentary or individual samples
  • Combo Deals, bundles or multi-buy offers
  • Special Import products

Eligible NZ Retail Businesses

The competitor must be a New Zealand-based retail business selling perfume decants in trade directly to the public.

The seller’s business identity, product price and availability must be publicly displayed and reasonably verifiable.

Eligible sellers may include:

  • Established NZ perfume retail websites
  • NZ physical retail businesses
  • Trade Me sellers clearly identified as selling in trade

Trade Me, Marketplace and Private Sellers

To help protect customers from counterfeit, diluted or improperly stored fragrances, our Price Beat Promise does not apply to:

  • Private or non-in-trade Trade Me sellers
  • Facebook Marketplace listings
  • Private social-media sellers
  • Peer-to-peer marketplace listings
  • Auction or bid-only listings
  • Second-hand, opened or partially used products

Only established NZ retail businesses or verified in-trade sellers may qualify for a price comparison.

Product Comparison Requirements

The competitor’s product must:

  • Be the same fragrance
  • Be offered as a perfume decant
  • Be authentic
  • Be new and unused
  • Be currently in stock
  • Be available for immediate purchase and delivery within New Zealand
  • Have a publicly advertised and verifiable price

Decant Size and Price Comparison

Price comparisons will normally be based on the same fragrance and the same decant volume.

Where the competitor does not offer the exact same volume, we will compare it with the closest available Scent Droplet decant size. The competitor’s price will be adjusted according to its price per millilitre, allowing both products to be compared at the same volume.

For example:

  • A competitor’s 3ml decant may be compared with our 2.5ml decant
  • A competitor’s 5ml decant may be compared with our 4.5ml decant
  • A competitor’s 10ml decant may be compared with our 9.5ml decant

All comparable-size assessments are reviewed manually by Scent Droplet on a case-by-case basis.

Prices and Offers That Are Not Eligible

The Price Beat Promise does not apply to:

  • Clearance or stocktake-clearance sales
  • Liquidation or closing-down sales
  • Pricing, typographical or listing errors
  • Wholesale or trade-only prices
  • Coupon codes or voucher-only prices
  • First-order, membership or subscription discounts
  • Cashback offers or loyalty rewards
  • Bundle, Combo Deal or multi-buy offers
  • Limited-time flash sales
  • Competitor prices that cannot be independently verified
  • Unsustainable or below-cost pricing

Shipping charges and other mandatory costs may be considered when comparing the total purchase price.

Request and Approval Process

Price Beat requests must be submitted before purchasing from Scent Droplet.

You can submit a request through our Price Beat form or email the public competitor product link to scentdroplet@outlook.com.

All requests are reviewed manually and must be approved before checkout. Approved prices cannot be applied to previous purchases or orders that have already been placed.

An approved Price Beat price:

  • Cannot be combined with discount codes
  • Cannot be combined with promotional offers
  • Cannot be combined with Combo Deals, bundle discounts or multi-buy offers
  • Cannot be combined with any other additional discount
  • May be subject to reasonable quantity limits
  • Is valid only for the period stated in the approval

We reserve the right to limit or decline excessive, repeated, commercially unreasonable, unsustainable or below-cost requests.

Changes to the Price Beat Promise

Scent Droplet may amend, pause or withdraw the Price Beat Promise at any time.

Any Price Beat request already approved will remain valid until the expiry time stated in the approval, unless the competitor’s product becomes unavailable or its advertised price changes.
